Yet, the Gourmet School is not just for professionals — quite the opposite. The team of trainers warmly invites you, without any hesitation or preconceptions, to discover their passion for the craft. With expertise and great teaching skills, they guide you through their delicious and chocolate-filled universe. Practice the right techniques and uncover the secrets of master chefs by creating recipes developed at the Grand Chocolate School. Their programs suit everyone, from quick 30-minute to 2.5-hour workshops or longer courses lasting from half a day up to 2 days. Discovery Workshop at Maison Chapoutier
Spend a delightful evening at the M. Chapoutier School, with themed wine tastings from the house: Wines & Barbecue, Starry Night, Tasting Initiation, Tour in Provence, European Wines, Harvest, Rhône & Beaujolais… Tough to choose! These tasting workshops take place in a private room, led by a sommelier from one of the largest wineries in the Rhône Valley, followed by a bistronomic meal at the domain’s guest table. The Saturday Market Atmosphere
The must-visit events are the weekly markets in Tournon-sur-Rhône and Tain l’Hermitage, every Saturday morning. Buying some local products, seasonal fruits and vegetables, exchanging a few words with locals, meeting producers — it’s such a pleasure to stroll between the stalls. Colors and flavors blend together for our greatest delight. In Tournon-sur-Rhône, you get double the fun with a street market on Quai Farconnet and a farmers’ market at Place Jean Jaurès. In Tain l’Hermitage, the charming Place du Taurobole hosts a weekly clothing and food market. Enjoy the colorful stands, the lively atmosphere, and the friendly smiles of the vendors.
Visit a Craft Brewery
For once, we invite you to swap your wine glass for a beer mug. Brewing beer in the heart of the finest Côtes du Rhône appellations — now that’s bold! Discover the craft of brewing and enjoy delicious beers made right here in Ardèche Hermitage. A warm and friendly moment awaits, as you meet passionate producers eager to share their stories and journeys. Committed to sustainability, they brew organic beers, use short supply chains, and take pride in working locally. Blonde, amber, dark… a full palette of flavors and aromas to taste — in moderation, of course. Three great spots for beer lovers: Brasserie Freemoussein Saint-Jean-de-Muzols, and Chouette Brasserie in Tournon-sur-Rhône. Guided tours available on request — come and share more than just a cold one.



Nectardéchois: Fruit Processing Workshop
A cooperative with a unique model, open to both professionals and private individuals, allowing them to transform their fruits into juice starting from 100 kilograms. A true regional initiative, launched by the town hall of Pailharès—a small village in the green Ardèche—that aimed to promote local resources.Nectardéchois opened its doors in 1998. Today, this facility offers guided tours of the workshop with tastings, to discover the skills and craftsmanship behind this local enterprise. Fruit juices and nectars are available for purchase at the workshop every first Saturday of the month.
