The Towers Trail
Let's discover the old rampart of Tournon sur Rhône. City formerly a fortress protected by walls and armed with 12 towers, erected at the request of Countess Claude de la Tour Turenne. 2 towers still proudly dominate the city, recalling part of its history. The rampart now gives way to the "Sentier des tours", a pretty route of about 2 kilometers. Departing from the city center, it invites you to climb a little higher, but your efforts are quickly rewarded with a breathtaking view. A splendid landscape on the vineyards, the Rhône river, the castle of Tournon, the historic center and, of course, the Hermitage hill which is then offered to you. This route, lasting about an hour, is a must for your day in Ardèche Hermitage.
