Hiking trail : En balade à Champos et au bois de Sizay

Description

This little hide follows at first the river l'Herbasse to join the lake of Champos. Beautiful view over the Vercors From the parking lot, go down under the bridge and take the path up
the river Herbasse towards Lac de Champos. Arrive at Domaine de Champos, pass the campsite and turn left around the lake.
Follow the road to the Champos signpost (alt. 240m).
At the end of the tunnel, turn right around the field and fork right towards the sandy rocks (saffres). Continue along the
The path climbs through the woods for about 800m, then rejoins the road. Continue along the road for about 300m, admiring the Vercors range in the distance on the right. At the horse riding arena, turn left onto the road to Les Pinates (alt.336m). Turn left to reach the Balayer crossroads (alt.330m) and continue straight on, following the signs for Bois de Sizay, then take the path on the right which descends into the forest. Reach Combe du Frêne (alt. 300m), then take the left-hand path towards Combe du loup.
Follow the main, sandy, shady path for about 3km (take care, the terrain is rough in places), passing through Combe du Loup
(alt. 260m) and Combe Oternaud (alt. 255m). Arriving at Les Bâties (alt. 226m), the path leaves Combe Oternaud and follows the gravel road for 1km to reach Pont de Chabran (alt. 220m) and the parking lot.
