Deyras

Description

Leaving from Colombier le Vieux, this loop is a classic among hikers. You soon plunge into the Daronne valley, but not yet into the gorges. You'll have to climb back up on the other side for an alternation of open landscapes amid meadows and small woods. From the hamlet of Deyras, you plunge down a rocky path into the real Daronne gorges. On the descent, a lookout point will inevitably force you to pause and contemplate the whole of the St Sorny meander. But you'll have to do it again. Crossing the suspension bridge is a thrill for the most sensitive. Take the time to visit the chapel of St Sorny. Then comes the main part of the climb back up to the plateau, where you'll be walking through fruit trees to finish off this escapade.
